A Los Angeles-based design-build practice led by architects Leo Marmol, FAIA and Ron Radziner, FAIA. Established in 1989, the firm has won awards, recognizing its work in innovative design, research, and precision in executing construction details. The firm offers a full range of design services, including architectural design, programming, master planning, historic restoration, landscape design, interior design, and furniture design.
The architects’ awards include the American Institute of Architects National, Honor Award, recognizing their restoration of the Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, designed originally by Richard Neutra in 1946.
The firm has continued with restoration work of houses originally designed by legendary architects. MRA completed two Neutra house restorations in 2000, the Lew and the Brown House, as well as the Elliot House restoration, originally designed by R.M. Schindler in 1930. The firm recently restored two Cliff May houses and John Lautner’s Garcia House.
The majority of the firm’s work encompasses high-end custom site-built residential projects across California and nationwide, including those for clients such as Tom Ford, former creative director of Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent , actors Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher and musician Anthony Kiedis.
